Yagshs Conquers Northern Ghana
The gallant ladies from Yaa Asantewaa Girls SHS after conquering Ashanti Region has managed to add the whole of the northern belt to their colonies in the 62nd Presidential Debate competition. The event saw the winners the five regions in the northern zone gather at Bolgatanga to see which school will pick the sole ticket to the National event to clash with the winner of the southern belt.
As part of the 63rd Independence Anniversary Debate, this years’ Northern ZONAL level contest was held in Bolgatanga, Upper East Regional Capital where five(5) regions comprising Bono Ahafo the defending champions in the shape of Achirensua SHS, Northern Region represented by Tamasco, Upper West well represented by St. Michael’s Boys SHS, Upper East Region and host region by Sandema SHS and the Ashanti’s finest, Yagshs locked horns. Fierce competitions took place with the following fixtures : Achirensua vs Tamasco YAGSHS VS Sandema SHS St. Michael’s Boys VS Achirensua SHS. After the stunning and intellectual presentations from all schools in all the contests, the impartial panel of judges ruled in this regard :
In view of this, Yagshs gets the enviable ticket to represent the Northern belt of Ghana in Accra, next month.
